What is the significance of a Rolex Serial Number?
The serial number is located at the 6 o'clock position on majority of Rolex models. Removing the bracelet will visibly show the serial. These numbers (and letters) signify the year of manufacture. Use this table below as a guidance tool.
What does "Inner Bezel Engraved" mean?
Starting late 2007 (Z serial) Rolex created an idea to laser engrave the Rehaut, or "rim" between the dial and crystal. The serial was visible without removal of a bracelet simply by looping the 6 o'clock rehaut.
